review 1: I received this book from Book Plug Promotions/Edelweiss in return for a fair and honest review.This is the final novella in the Bachelor Firemen of San Gabriel series, none of which I have read prior to this one. This did not impact my enjoyment of the story at all and I will still enjoy getting the other books in the series to read their stories, even though I know they all get a HEA.Mulligan is a rough and tough hero who maintains a bad boy image so that no one can get close enough to hurt him. Lizzie has grown up in a household full of men so isn't put off by his 'front'. She knows what she wants and she's not afraid to go for it.The majority of the story is spent with these two separated due to an accident but you still learn about the two of them and how they came... more to be together. The references to It's A Wonderful Life were funny and well timed within the story.This book is funny, warm, witty, full of seasonal cheer and a couple of 'bah humbug' moments too. The stars of the show (for me) simply have to be Stan and Clarence. A Wonderful Book (which I enjoyed better than the film although I know that's a horrific thing to admit to, to most people!)
review 2: I was really lucky to get and arc of It's a Wonderful Fireman and I mean it. I probably would never have come across this book or author and I love a good fireman. It's a really enjoyable story and I loved how it was written from both POV with flashbacks from both Dean & Lizzie. If your after something romantic with a Christmas feel this is it. I will defferntly be keeping an eye on this authors next releases. less
