review 1: This was the first of the bachelor firemen series that I've read and I loved it. Now on to the other books.As Melissa McGuire was leaving the bachelor auction, she tripped and was helped up by a good-looking man with gorgeous gray eyes. He turned out to be her grandmother’s “date” that she had bid on and won for Melissa. It turns out that fire captain Harry Brody was enchanted with Melissa. Her grandmother plotted to get them together but they were both stubborn and afraid to admit their feelings for each other. Now, Melissa’s grandmother is dying and she hopes that her plan for the two comes true.
review 2: I really enjoyed this story. I read for escape and this book hits all the notes I enjoy: funny, kind characters, believable plot and a happil... morey ever after with some sexiness thrown in! The only complaint I have is the cartoonish cover and sappy title. I never would have bought the paperback because I would have been embarrassed to have people see me reading it. I don't like what I read to be so OBVIOUSLY fluffy. At least let me pretend to have some deep literary intentions! :) Since I read it on Nook, I didn't need to worry. less
