review 1: It is not a spoiler to say that Laurel's entire family is killed in a car accident in the first chapter of the book. The story goes on to show how Laurel deals with the loss and resumes her life while still honoring the memories of her family. A novel for young adults, this book is well written and realistic. Yet the story was not a typical tear-jerker as one might expect. Excellent and highly recommended.
review 2: Laurel was a stereotypical bitch, and I absolutely loathed her rude nasty ass. I was detached all throughout the book, I didn't pity her at all. The only damn emotions I felt throughout this book were annoyance, hatred, loathing, and impatience to get done with this shit and now that I'm done, I have to say thank the book gods I didn't buy a physi... morecal copy.
