review 1: I read the beginning of after in less than a day. it was really good! I love the story line and all the characters in the book. I liked how really the situation was for Laurel, the main character. she experienced losing her parents and brother and it was so real. which is good. I was kind of hoping Laurel would end with Joe but I knew somewhere in my mind that she wouldn't so I wasn't too disappointed. I also liked that Laurel had to live with her grandmother. they had such a good relationship and I liked that. I really liked this book which is shown by how fast I read it. I would recommend this to anyone.
