review 1: 3.5- 4 stars Some of the themes in this novel push the boundaries for YA but I enjoyed this novel. We see everything from Meg's snarky and quick-witted POV. I liked the portrayal of both the characters and their issues and the development of the relationship between them - great build up of tension between the two.I did have a bit of trouble thinking of John as a law enforcer when he is only a year out of school (I thought you had to be of legal age to be a cop - how can you do police work in a bar if you are not allowed to be in a bar at 19 - but then again I am not sure of the policing laws in the US). Might have worked better for me had he been 21 or 22.
review 2: Good book. Very drama-ridden (which, you know, is always nice in a teen romance story). Strict
... more, good boy cop is always trying to keep people off the bridge that killed his brother, and rebel without a cause girl that can only focus on living in the moment and constantly getting in trouble since recovering from her battle with Leukemia. Cute couple, and the girl doesn't drive me completely insane. Quick read! less
