review 1: Really enjoyed this second offering in the Elemental Series. Although there is a little repetition with the introduction of people and places, I can understand it since it is still getting people acclimated to the world. I continue to enjoy Gin, the main character. The love triangle between her and Caine is fascinating since the third leg is his own moral compass. The continuation of Gin figuring out who killed her family is fascinating. I also really like the innate goodness she possesses even considering what it is she does for a living, I like this contrast. Looking forward to reading the next book.
review 2: Again everything is good except the repeating, that annoyed me so much. literally repeating the same storys about some characters and repeating ... morethe way they look with exactly the same words as in the first book. I know how they look and what powers they have and what happened to them cause I read the first book. When you read the first book and then the second a year later its good to have some way in the second book to remember them if you dont want to read the first book again but come on, repeating every little detail about everyboody in the exact same words is just too much. I read the books one after another and maybe thats why it annoyed me so much, maybe if I read them some time apart it wouldnt so much. Either way it made my reading not so enjoyable and thats why its 3 stars and not 4 even thou the story is good. less
