review 1: I really enjoyed this book. Apron is a wonderful character, very realistic and you can't help but root for her the whole way through. Although the ending was pretty easy to guess I still enjoyed it, even though in real life everything doesn't always get tidied up in a neat little bow. The grandmother was fabulous. Writing was sometimes a little forced descriptive, but on the whole was very beautiful. Highly recommend it!
review 2: When first attacking this book I had no idea where it was going. As the story progressed and the characters developed, I began to really enjoy it. There were some plot holes in the subplots throughout the book but for the most part he end was wrapped up in a cute little package. I wish I knew a little bit more about Apron's mom and ho... morew she learned about flowers. That was my biggest pet peeve, it was never addressed in the book. Overall it was a good quick read. Great for a teen starting hs. There are a lot of heavy issues running through out but a great message of tolerance and acceptance. less
