review 1: This story has potential that just wasn't realized. Interesting premise that didn't quite materialize the way it could. Overall, everything felt very choppy and forced, almost as if the author was trying to just finish the thing instead of focusing on telling a story. Interestingly, the story seemed to become a bit richer the further in I got, but it wasn't enough to save the overall finished product.
review 2: This was a refreshingly unique story, which is hard to come across in the world of the Amazon Kindle, where self published 'authors' don't even have the courtesy to proof read and spell check before selling us their own twist on something we've already read. The story centers around two 'Nobodies' Nix and Claire, Nobodies are people who can give off energ
... morey, love and want and need etc, but for some chemical/scientific reason, cannot be in receipt of such emotions, or so Nix was lead to believe! Nix is sent on a top secret mission to exterminate Claire, from a distance with no communication, it all goes a bit wrong, and they end up interacting, luckily! Because he was sent to kill her under the knowledge that she is a 'Null' basically the opposite of a Nobody, and very, very dangerous.I enjoyed learning about a new kind of world, especially when we are so bombarded by vampires, werewolves and such, I do love the typical supernaturals, but Nobody was a fantastic breath of fresh air, beautifully written and had me craving I could actually join them in The Fade somehow!I wasn't hugely sold on the ending, and little Natalie, but I won't say too much! :DGive it a read, I promise you won't be disappointed! less
