review 1: Better than expected. I had several reviews of this one, on goodreads.com and on bookriot.com. I had been eyeballing this book for a while and glad I made the move to get it and read it. It is most definitely a who-done-it. And then just when you think you know who-done-it, you have to start asking yourself, who-really-done-it? Don't want to give anything away, I always try not to do that. I would most definitley recommend this one to someone else! One man, three wives, 4 kids, and a whole big mess! Who-done-it?
review 2: I loved this book more than anything I have read in a while. You know how you go through spells when you keep picking up books that sound amazing and they keep disappointing you? I have been on an extended jag of those books. So I was ... moredoubly delighted by this. I especially loved the alternating narrative split between the detective, "the wives" as an entity (which could have been too precious but wasn't), and 11-year-old Picasso Lane. What an amazing, and amazingly told, book! less
