review 1: First things first, to enjoy the book you have to get over the fact that two teenagers are running around town trying to solve a murder, it's fiction so it's okay. However, Wolf does a great job of keeping the mystery going throughout the novel. I usually have the mystery pegged long before the end, but I have to admit that this book kept me guessing. A great YA read, especially for reluctant readers.
review 2: It was okay. I thought that the ending was the strong point and that the author did a good job in slowly unveiling how Rachel hadn't gone entirely sour. The whole emphasis on the church bit was weird but I guess it strengthened the setting and feeling of environment around the characters, The racial differences too were interestingly played out but I fee
... morel as though Wolf never played her entire hand of cards. She should have carried that issue straight into the end, could have made a strong statement with it. less
