review 1: After reading most of these stories from a skeptical point of view, I really only found a handful that were really awe-inspiring or I could find no other rational explanation for. Some of them actually made me a bit fearful about people's convictions and how they perceive their "God" to act. Some would have the author of the story saved or help but with other human lives, even friends being lost. I don't get that point of view.
review 2: This is a collection of stories gathered by the author after she had an experience where she believed that God concretely touched her life. Skiff began asking people for their "God stories" and this is the result. I love stories like this because they remind me that even though I don't always understand what God's plan may... more be, sometimes God does break through and do something completely clear and concrete to touch human lives. Of course, it made me think of my own God stories, an even bigger bonus. Not all of these narratives are by people who consider themselves Christians--there's quite a variety here. It's one of those books that you can pick up, put down, and sometimes it gives you goosebumps. It's good to be reminded in our very harried and crazy world that God sometimes still makes contact. less
