The Amazing Tales of Max & Liz
review 1: Liz, a small black cat, is one of the main characters in this book. She is motivated to follow God's will. Liz helps Joseph to make sure he follows God's plan. Liz gets Joseph sold to Pharoah and to take Max, a black scottish terrier. Liz is troubled because her mate, Al, always gets himself in trouble. He almost gets trapped in the pyramid of Anubis because of bananas. Liz is very intelligent. Nigel, a little white mouse, teachers her Eygptian culture and language. This book reminds me of society because suprises pop out of anyone. Joseph becomes the prim minister of Egypt, but he starts out as a slave. It is like in society poor people can become leaders with hard work. Joseph also gets bullied by his brothers because he was Jacob's favorite. In society teacher's pets, g... moreet bullied. I think it was shocking when Joseph becomes the prime minister of Eygpt after being a slave. I think the author wrote this book to teach others about the Bible in an entertaining way. I liked this book because of its biblical refrence. It is a great book for any age.
review 2: This book was amazing. I think I liked it even more than the first book. How Mrs. Jenny wrote the book and weaved Biblical truth into Egypt mythology was amazing. I love mythology stuff and when I heard that this book was about Egypt and God at the same time, I knew I had to read it. I would have read it any way even if it was not on my summer reading list. Thank you Mrs. Jenny for writing this and I am definitely going to try to crack the code. When I heard that there was a second one to the first book she wrote, I thought this one was going to be about Moses, but when I read it and found out that it was about Joseph, I learned so much about the story. I never really gave much thought to the story of Joseph until now and now I see that he played such a major role. everyone says that Nigel is there new favorite character, and even though he is amazing I have got say that Kate and Liz are still my favorite and my new favorite is Osahar. He is so funny and I love how he speaks. I would definitely recommend that everybody read this book and the first book. less
