review 1: This was certainly a hidden gem I am glad to have stumbled upon. I thought this would be a cheesy superhero thing similar to Joshua Dread. But after reading the summary I decided mabye it would not be as much a let down as Dread was and I gave to a go.Boy am I glad I did.Our main character Alex Knight never thought he was conflicted about his loyalty to The Cloak Society. After all he was born and raised within the group's headquarters, he lived for the Cloak.Until the day he saves a Junior Ranger (superhero-in-training) named Kirbie and begins to feel the seed of doubt within him. From that momment on his life spirals in a direction he never thought was possible.Needless to say I love this book and would reccommend it to anyone looking for a great superhero styled, and the... moremed book series to get into.
review 2: This book looked a little dorky, and I was especially Leary since it came from the kid's section. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how well written it was and how much I wanted to know what happened next. The characters are well developed and real, and as the book goes along, they continue to grow and develop in says that seem natural ( I always sudden and unrealistic changes of heart). The ending is satisfying, but leaves you eager to grab the next book in the series. less
