Title: Pitch Perfect 3
Movie 2017
Cast: Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Hailee Steinfield, Ester Dean, Hana Mae Lee, Kelley Jakle, Shelley Regner, Chrissie Fit, Elizabeth Banks, John Michael Higgins and John Lithgow
After the highs of winning the World Championships, the Bellas find themselves split apart and discovering there aren’t job prospects for making music with your mouth. But when they get the chance to reunite for an overseas USO tour, this group of awesome nerds will come together to make some music, and some questionable decisions, one last time.
While the movie and music are great with the addition of other bands the music ties in well with the tone and fun of the movie. The fun play between the characters from the previous two movies and the continuation of subtle jokes maintained from the original allow for an enjoyable movie.
Pitch Perfect 3 gets the Bellas back to what they do best singing and battling it out as the underdogs. Focusing on the core case of BellasOe learning what the post college life will be like and coming back together as a family.
**Spoiler Alert**
I did enjoy the whole movie its was funny but my only problem with the film is the Fat Amy story line of finding her father and the following black mail. While it created a few laughs and some good jokes, it all seemed forced to create havoc and action it an otherwise already sound movie. I’m not entirely sure taking this story arc would diminish from the overly experience but it would reduce the screen time of Rebel Wilson.
Overall Pitch Perfect 3 does a good job of closing the series and brings a family back together.
Score 3/5
