review 1: This was an overall pleasant read. It was good and dramatic, just the way I like 'em! Lysandra is a girl with no other options, except to become a mistress to a well off, titled man. In a last ditch effort to save herself and her mother, Lysandra visits Vivian, an infamous mistress now retired. Vivian agrees to match her with a tutor. Enter Andrew. Oh, Andrew. :( such a sad back story... I won't give anything away, but the sparks do fly!If you like a hero in need of a little (sexual) healing, with a slightly dominant streak you will fall for Andrew.If you like a heroine who doesn't simper despite the big ole basket of life-lemons thrown at her Lysandra is your girl!
review 2: I liked this book more than I expected to....Lysandra (really...what kind of name is ... morethat) is desperate to save her mother and herself, and so, virgin that she is, decides she must become educated in those skills and arts required by a woman who wants to find a "protector." Andrew, Viscount Callis, agrees to "educate" her, and....surprise....they end up geting their HEA.There were some moments that just didn't seem at all realistic. During their very first encounter Andrew pulls up her dress, goes down on her, gives her an orgasm, pulls her dress back down and then leaves! But she's all aflutter, and can't wait for more!However, for the most part, Andrew and Lysandra really were a sweet couple, and you wanted them to fall in love. The sex scenes were pretty steamy, but didn't overwhelm the story.So...3 stars. less
