review 1: Sorelle Albright n. 3 - Terza trappola x nobili Il terzo episodio, dedicato alla terza sorella, Beatrice, è forse quello che mi sono gustata di più: sia lei che lui sono due anime emarginate dalla buona società, i “cattivi” della situazione, costretti ad allearsi tra loro, perché altrimenti nessuno se li fila. Beatrice è ormai una fanciulla in cerca di marito “in scadenza”, ovvero sta per diventare ufficialmente e irreversibilmente zitella: per dietro la chiamano bisbetica, arpia, e con altri epiteti lusinghieri. Ma lei non si perde d’animo: mi è piaciuta l’idea di questa ragazza che, seduta a tavolino, fa il bilancio della sua vita, analizza pro e contro, sviluppa un piano di battaglie, e poi trascina il marchese (che pure si è fatto terra bruciata into... morerno) in squadra. D’accordo, lui tenta di fare il duro con la proposta del sesso “in prova” prima delle nozze (e sfoggia pure un tavolo BDSM, con cinghie e fruste, pre-cinquanta sfumature), ma si capisce subito che Beatrice è una tosta che finirà per mangiarsi Gareth in un boccone. Sul finire, tra un tripudio di matrimoni d’AMORE (anche se tutti gli sposi irretiti sono contornati da ricchezze e titoloni) per le sorelle Albright ci sarà pure spazio per un riavvicinamento e forse una maggiore comprensione della madre, madre che, pur con tutti suoi difetti e il suo egoismo, mirava solo al loro bene.
review 2: Although the first and second book in this series deals with alpha-males being tamed by wanton women, and this book is written along the same lines, there are some differences: Firstly, the relationship that forms the backbone of the plot is more concerned with... let's say domination and surrender than the previous books. Secondly; there is an actual plot outside of the romantic main-plot. Neither the way the romance comes to a conclusion, nor who the true villain of the book is can hardly be said to be surprising, but the characters in this book are allowed to show more depth than those in the previous books, resulting in a significantly better story than that of the second installment in the series. less
