The Final Prophecy
review 1: Great second book in these series. Another strong story which I like a lot.Alexis is sick of choosing the wrong man and it looks like Nate was a wrong choice too. Unfortunately fate and the nightkeepers gods think different. And maybe Nate just need some more time to get used to being loved. He has a bad childhood, not like the other nightkeepers. Next to their love life there is a war to win. In this book there is another party involved who don’t want the nightkeepers to win. And they don’t play by the rules.
review 2: This is book 2 in the final prophecy series.I got sucked into reading book 1 of this series, due to the plug of JR Ward (one of my fave authors) on her Facebook page. That and the fact that my local library actually has all this series (a
... morerare event!).The series is set around the Mayan culture and the 2012 end-date. As it is 2013 now, the whole setting has lost impact, but I am sure when the book was first written in the mid-2000s it was more topical. The nightkeepers are the ones who are going to save the world (yeah!!).Each book is about a separate couple, but the romance is understated (which I am quite okay with surprise surprise). My only issue with these books is that at times they read like an assignment. There is a lot (and I mean A LOT) of lore in these books and a lot of references to different gods and the 9 levels of hell and things that I have no idea about. I confess to not really knowing what was going on most of the time and I still have no idea what the dawnkeeper title refers to (can any-one enlighten me on this?).I have already put a hold on book 3 so will continue reading, but these books would do better if they were about 100 pages shorter and if they author cut back a little on the research/information overload. I know she is a very educated woman - but the book still needs to be a form of escapism and be entertaining. Less is more. less

Good series. Books can get long. 1st one is the hardest to read. A good read though. Read in order
