review 1: This was my first Jessica Ingro read, and I have to say that I truly enjoy her writing style. This story was much different from anything I have read. Elizabeth was a personal concierge to the rich and powerful of Manhattan. You need something done you don't have time for it well hire her she will get it done. She was right up there with the elite of them starting her own business in college. She had only one rule. Never gt involved with a client. But meeting Grant Morgan had her wanting to break all those rules instantly... And break them she did! The only part of Elizabeth I really didn't understand was why she was so jaded about love and relationships, it was slightly confusing to me at times. But other then that I really enjoyed her character.Grant Morgan is sor... moret of dominating in and out of the court room, he's been hurt majorly and by his own flesh and blood. But being a New York socialite isn't really his scene, it might be how he grew up but he didn't fit the mold. He's loving and tender and nothing like the rest of his family. His passion and connection with Elizabeth was hot and spicy and sweet and loving all at the same time. I really enjoyed this story and I think you probably would too the beginning was a little slow and I felt like 90% of the good stuff was jam packed at the end of the book but I still enjoyed this one. I give Love, Your Concierge 4 stars for it's unique storyline and great writing! I look forward to more books from Jessica in the future.
review 2: I would give this book 2.5 stars. Here's what I really didn't care for-Elizabeth is portrayed as your stereotypical starstruck women with 1/2 a brain which is NOT what you'd expect from a women who graduated from NYU. I don't know why authors choose to portray women this way- its really an insult to women. I cringed at a lot of her interactions with clients, and certainly with Grant as she acted completely unprofessional. As a personal concierge to the wealthy, she shouldn't act so starstruck by wealth or glamour. And she certainly would be polished enough to not quickly through out inappropriate comments. She too easily is enchanted with Grant despite her suspicions of his womanizing ways. Even though it turns out he's not as much of a whore as she thought, he's not exactly a saint. He laughs as a woman he's been sleeping with for 2 years leaves and then just moves on to her- ON the SAME night no less. Elizabeth gives in to him far too easily- not what you'd expect out of a self respecting woman. After Grant accuses her of cheating AND he goes back to his whoring ways coupled with basically ignoring her for months until he finds out she's pregnant with his child, she simply MOVES in with the bastard. Again, what self respecting woman does this? This isn't remotely a real love story that I can identify with. less
