review 1: It's been a while since I've read a vampire series, and I have to say I really like the spin on vampirism in this world. It reminds me of Resident Evil and how it all started with a virus and had grown from that. The Highers are like the Umbrella Incorporation. They run everything, but they make many mistakes. Obviously, there are parallel similarities between Kayla and Alice. I won't get into that or I'd be here all day.Point is, I like this series and where it's headed.
review 2: This book is a mixture of romance, action, and awesomeness that cannot be ignored. Jessica Sorensen did a great job with this book and the series so far.The romance is a little more prominent in this book rather than the first, but that was ok. I still really enjoyed it.The end was f... moreull of surprising twists that nearly made me cry! All in all it was wonderful and I would write more if I had more time but this is all it can do.Definitely reading book three!! less
