review 1: It wasn't awful. The story had promise and some of the secondary characters were fun and quirky. But the economics of the whole thing didn't make sense (if they have SO MUCH MONEY, why do they need his mom to buy them a not-so-big apartment? Where are the maids, etc? Where is the car and driver? Etc. How does she have no income at all but not worry about buying food?) And the writing was a lot of "And then I did this. And then I did that. And I felt like this. And I felt like that." All telling not showing.

I have one more of Kargman's books that I picked up at the library and I am debating whether I am going to give it a shot or assume it ends the same way as The Ex Mrs. Hedgefund. I appreciate how Kargman seems to always implement her love of music in her stories, so i guess there is something to look forward to in the next novel that is staring at me from my desk. :) less
