review 1: Hazel has it all - great job, great boyfriend, great friends, great home - but she’s still restless, still wondering if that’s all there is. I can relate; I’ve felt that way myself. When she meets Finn (Rock Star alluded to in the title) she’s in instant lust. She thinks it’s more than lust. She has to decide what to do about her boyfriend. Ultimately, she decides she HAS to explore what she feels for Finn. Most of this short book is the breathless lead-up to Hazel and Finn’s sexual encounter. Then it’s the taste of the Rock Star life, of living every girl’s fantasy. Then the internal exploration (which was actually fairly short-lived). And then… she makes THE DECISION.I’m trying to not be a spoiler, but I have to say that the ending was the best part of... more the book. It’s what really made this book different from others and why I rate it a 5-star. Loved it!
review 2: I purchased this book at the airport on my way to a rock music festival where one of my "rock idols" was the headliner. It is an easy read and the premise drew me in. I enjoyed how Hazel's thoughts were written. The Rock star, Finn Schiller, was well thought out and not unbelievable. I don't want to spoil the story for anyone, so all I can say is that it's a fast read and I will probably check out other books by this author. less

Big disappointment. Did not like the main character and I could barely get through this book.

Meh. Good premise, but it reads more like teen lit.
grady
A bit inconsistent but overall, a good quick read.
