review 1: I enjoyed this more than some of the other Jill shalvis books I've read recently. This was well paced (though the end was a little too quick for me) with likable, interesting characters. Pretty steamy, too. I wanted to see a little more of sam's vulnerabilities- she seemed so in control and self-managed, even when she was being described as "on the edge." wade's emotional journey was more understandable to me, and he seemed like quite the catch.
review 2: I thought this was cute romantic book with a lot of hot sex between Wade O'Riley, professional baseball player, and Samantha McNead, publicist for the team and the daughter of one of the owners. When rumors get out about Wade’s partying ways, baseball management insists that Samantha act as Wade’s girlfri... moreend for a month to calm the rumors down. But Sam has had a crush on Wade ever since an embarrassing time in an elevator and it’s hard to put on an act because for her, it is not acting. Wade is falling in love with Sam and is unsure of how to act because he has always been the love ‘em and leave ‘em type. I thought the book ended sort of abruptly when Sam admitted he loved her. Usually there is an epilogue that would reveal how they married, etc. but not this time. less
