review 1: The heat between Wade and Samantha is fairly combustible! Wade was a big old boy-man for me- his laid back lifestyle, fast food addiction and playboy ways. Yet when Samantha tries to push him way, he worms his way into her heart by giving her space and not pushing too aggressively. For two lonely individuals, their romance is coupled with trying to build a family. Wade is there for Samantha when he becomes the father-figure to Tag, Sam's lonely and neglected nephew. Similarly, Sam's compassion is the catalyst for the reconciliation between Wade and his long estranged Dad. 3.5 Stars
review 2: This book has no business being called a baseball romance. Including baseball quotes at the beginning of a chapter does not qualify. I read this after the first book in t... morehe series that was actually quite good. The first book was balanced with a player's struggles on the field, a story around the use of performance enhancing drugs and a believable love story. This book, however, was only about a relationship that was, frankly, boring and not very believable. I'll stop with the series after this one. Too bad... less
