review 1: Evensong Sparkling Morningdew is a Hypocrite! Imagine that is your name but you kept it secret until it appears on your locker with this message. Evie and Martha, her mother, live in a geodesic dome off the grid until Evie's senior year when she decides it is time to try the school experience. Meeting and getting into the good graces of two popular seniors Evie is finding high school a bit boring and winds up questioning everyone and everything making her a regular in detention. Her mom prompts her to challenge the status quo and she does without taking a moment to realize how far the effects will reach. Interesting quotes frame each the beginning of each chapter. Sex plays a part in the story which adds another layer of difficulty for Evie to navigate making this a YA nov... moreel. I really enjoyed the interesting quotes that frame the beginning of each chapter.
review 2: This book made me cry! Sniff. It was really good. I was surprised by how much I like it. I think the thing I really took away from this book was the importance of taking responsibility for things that we do. I liked the way Evie didn't back down from what she thought was right. Also Rajas made me mad! I liked him but oh, he really made me mad! I really got emotionally involved in this book. It was well written and totally drew me in. less
