review 1: I didn't read all of the stories because unfortunately some were parts of series I haven't yet read but plan on reading. I think in an anthology it's better to put the first story or a prequel in a series or a standalone story instead, not a book in the middle of a series. It kind of sucks for people who buy it but haven't read some of the series that have pieces in this book. Overall however this was a great book for an even GREATER CAUSE and that in my opinion makes it a 5 STAR READ! My favorite stories were "Ready to Wed" "Max" "More than a Friend Request." "Determined to Obey" "Meeting Sin" "Don't Close Your Eyes" "Fate" "Choices" and "Leap of Faith"
review 2: OK, Guilty, I purchased this book for 3 reasons, and 3 reasons only. Guilty as charged!!! The thre
... moree reasons: 1. proceeds to the Pink Avon Breast Cancer Team (always a good thing). 2. J. L. Berg and 3. JB McGee. I'm sure that the other authors offer some wonderful stories as well, but these two had already captured me with their previous works, and I am hooked. First J.L. Berg, and her wonderful, heartfelt Ready series. If you are a fan of When You're Ready, you know the precious story of Logan and Clare and how they came together; Clare lost her first husband Ethan to cancer; she met Logan when she took her young daughter to the ER. Just when Clare thought that she had it all, Logan found out that he has a fight on his hands. Will Clare be able to fight with him? This story takes us to their island wedding and the joy and struggles surrounding it.JB McGee had me with her fantastic This Series: Broken, Mending and Forgiven. Gabby and Bradley meet at a wedding; Bradley, the ultimate playboy, not wanting to settle down, as no one woman could be all things to one man. Gabby has been hurt and betrayed by love, she lost her Mother to cancer, her boyfriend and best friend went behind her back, and she has a strained and literally non existent relationship with her Father. Of course, Bradley is completely taken with her, and after a long and emotional journey, we leave them in book 3 newly married and off on the honeymoon. JB gives us the first couple of chapters of the next book in the saga, Trying; we are 6 months into the honeymoon phase, to find out that everything is not sunny and romantic. We find out that Gabby has a health challenge, that could completely change the course of their future. If you are a fan of any of the authors in this anthology, I'm sure you are in a for a treat. I will eventually get around to reading all of the other stories, but for now, it was definitely worth the cost for these stories from two of my fav authors. less
