review 1: Liking J.L.Merrow books and as Berlin is my favourite city in the world I thought this would be a really good read - pity I didn't read the precis before jumping in with both feet. Had I realised this was a werewolf book I definitely would have thought twice. However I did get it and I persevered with it and I must say it was really an okay book, not great but different to other werewolf books I have had the misfortune to read. The characterisations were fine, the writing style makes for an easy read and ultimately the story made sense - just not really my "cup of tea".Three star beach read.

The writing was well done, the storyline was decent and a bit unique but somewhere along the way there's a disconnect between th... moree reader and the characters.I wasn't excited or intrigued by anything happening to Leon or Christoph and there was just a lack of romance/emotion between them. I had more questions than anything at the end and one of them was at the whole source of the story and the two main characters relationship; why did Christoph make the decision to change Leon on so little information? Among other questions...Its a decent story and I think it has a lot more to it then the standard shifter story that you find but there was just something missing from making it a great story. less
