review 1: This book was called Doctor Proctor's Fart Powder by Joe Nesbo. This book was fiction because it has things in the book that would never happen in real life. This book was about a boy who moves into a new neighborhood. There is a crazy doctor that lives right next to the boy. The doctor is just a mad scientist who likes to make inventions. He makes a powder that makes you fart and it sends you shooting up into the air. One day the boy named Nilly gives some kids on his street the powder. They get shot into a tree and call the police. The police take the boy and the doctor to a prison. The boy escapes through going through the toilet and escapes. I don't want to give the rest of the story because there is a spoiler at the end. I rated this book 5 out of 5 stars because it ... morekept me on my feet and I really enjoyed it!
review 2: The plot of this book is about a boy who has moved in a new town where he is having trouble making friends. He starts to make friends with his neighbor who is also new and is also having trouble making friends. The main characters are Nilly and Lisa. They both started talking with another neighbor who was much older and was an inventor. The neighbor was trying to invent a fart powder. The kids liked this so they all become very good friends. But there were two mean brothers down the street and their Dad wanted to steal the fart powder for himself. So the Dad says a lot of lies about the inventor and gets people to not like him. The plot develops by the Dad telling the police that the inventor was selling an explosive chemical to children. So the inventor and Nilly are put into jail and have to break out so the Dad doesn’t steal the fart powder The theme was adventure. I liked how the kids became friends from something as little as fart powder. The author did a good job writing this book because it was easy to follow and you didn’t know what was going to happen next. I learned that having good friends is important in life because without them no one will be there for you when you are in trouble. Anyone that likes a good book should read this because it has a good story to it and is funny. I give this book a 5/5 because it is a good story that most people can relate to. There are two more books in this series and I plan on reading them. less
