review 1: This story is about a woman who falls in love with her only friend in the world. Only he has no idea that the man he's been writing to for years is a woman. Tegean has to learn at a early age how to defend what is his when his father dies in the war, and his mother passes away giving brith to his sister Sage. So he learns not to trust people until he meets Eli (Jesse's husband) though letters. Jesse's husband dies and she has to depend on the man that she has been writing to for years to take care of her and her 3 children. This is the 3rd book in the Whispering Mountain series by Jodi Thomas. I love this book, and can't wait to read the 4th book The Lone Texn.
review 2: This book totally surprised me. Before I picked it up, I didn't even think I would finish
... morebecause of the cheasy title and cover, but I thought that if something made me buy it in the first place, I should give it a chance. It exceeded my expectations considerably. It was not a "deep" novel by any means, but had plenty of interesting characters and was easy to read. It had many funny/humorous moments, and the writing was excellent. I loved how the POV changed so often, and so easily. I have never read this author before, but I will be looking out for more of her books in the future, and definitely reading the other books within this series. less
