review 1: This is a novella...It is a quick read about an outlaw motorcycle gang (the Tribe) being chased thru the desert by an 18 wheeler. Somehow I felt as if I had seen this before on the silver screen? The story is a remake by Joe Hill & Stephen King, of Richard Matheson's classic "Duel" which I have not read. In any event, the story kept my interest but I yawned at the end which fortunately came quickly.
review 2: Personnellement, je n'aime pas l'écriture de Joe Hill, ni ses sujets de prédilection, ni ses personnages. « Plein gaz » ne fait pas exception, sauf que la nouvelle originale de Richard Matheson ne méritait pas un si mauvais hommage, pas plus que « Duel », l'adaptation cinématographie de Steven Spielberg.Quant on sait que la force de l'original rés... moreide dans le mystère de l'identité du conducteur et que cet hommage de Joe Hill et de son père Stephen King bafoue ce concept, on peut espérer que le papier utilisé pour imprimer ce livre aura une meilleure vie au prochain recyclage... less
