review 1: WOW, is all I can say about this book! Auschwitz carries such a vile history, and Rosenberg did an amazing job getting me right into the story. Jacob Weisz was a relatable character, that I enjoyed following throughout this story, and all of the atrocities that he endured. Nothing I have read up to this point has put me in touch with the reality that people escaped this horrific place…but apparently there were escapees! I read it in 2 days…it is a book that you cannot put down once you start! I am now going to look up "Auschwitz Protocol" now…simply fascinating!!
review 2: I loved this fast paced, fun, and inspiring book. It was fiction, but based on facts. It told the story of a French Protestant pastor and a German Jewish resistance fighter. I loved
... more the message of the pastor that Christians must love their neighbors and their neighbors are the Jews. We are truly living a Christ-like life when we sacrifice to help another. This story intermingled devout Jewish faith with devout Christian faith and did so beautifully. A great read. less
