review 1: Increíble.Me encantó.Los personajes infantiles siempre me resultan interesantes porque siempre, nosotros los adultos, los vemos como alguien que no razona o piensa bien las cosas.La literatura infantil nos ayuda a comprender lo mucho que estamos equivocados.Sí, es cierto que el libro fue escrito por un adulto pero quién haya estado cercas de niños sabrá que es cierto, los niños razonan y cuestionan mucho.
review 2: Usually I absolutely love John Boyne and his stories of adventure. This book, in my opinion, was a little too forced, and had to many ideas put together in one short book. First a boy runs away, then he steals an apple from a magic tree, then he goes to a toy shop, he meets talking furniture, he listens to an old man telling stories, the boy ... moregoes home, his mom dies, and he figures out the old mann is Pinnochio. That's a lot of stuff in one short book! less
