review 1: Gotta give this guy's "Jonathan Graves" series at least 4 stars for the mindless entertainment value alone. This is my 4th, I believe, and I will be reading the 5th shortly. All of you book snobs out there probably think I'm shallow, childish, uneducated and low class because I read these types of books, and I don't care. Reading can be and should be a way to escape and be entertained, educate, illuminate, as well as supply the fodder that book snobs require, and it does. I use books for all of the aforementioned reasons, read all types of books and read a lot of them. Reading is still the best bang for the buck out there! Give John Gilstrap a chance. "If you don't take a chance, you ain't got a chance."
review 2: Gilstrap has produced a straight-ahead, shoot e... morem' up action adventure with his Threat Level installment. Interesting characters placed in a fast paced story made for a quick read. A couple of twists were thrown into an otherwise predictable and perhaps overplayed plot. No real moments of "what will happen" but enough action and cool characters built in to make this a fun, if not too suspenseful, read. less
