review 1: I liked the idea of this, and for the most part I liked the book itself. Until the end. Meeting May and getting girl parts? Really? And it felt so unresolved, like my copy was missing the final chapter or something. Charlie only very briefly mentioned his problems, and I felt like that should have been talked over more, so we could actually form a connection with him. The same with David - yes, Rose changed him, but there was no insight into his head to see exactly what was going on. In a perfect world, I'd like a better author to take this idea and write it better, because then I'd love it.
review 2: This started out promising, making me laugh in the first chapter. Then, somewhere in the middle, it started to drag and by the time I got to the end I just had to... more talk myself into finishing it. Girl Parts could have been really good, but the melodrama and WTF kind of ending really made this book dull. It felt like the ending was rushed or the author had no real idea of how he wanted to end it and just threw out the first idea that came to mind. less
