review 1: Okay. I read The Adorned by John Tristan before, and adored it. So I was really looking forward to this book. While I did like it and enjoyed it well enough, I had some issues with it. First of all, the length. The book is a novella, a very fast read, and it really felt like the pacing was off. I wanted to know more about Jason and Aedar and all of the others, and while I know there is a sequel, I felt like things happened too fast in this book. The world building was quick, and we still know hardly anything about the Captain. This could very easily have been a full length novel and I would have been more than satisfied, especially given the fantastic quality of The Adorned and the clear dedication that went into writing that book. I will probably read the sequel to this b... moreook, but not at the moment.
review 2: Oh, very entertaining! Strange and innovative world, colorful people, lots of sex! I wonder how any one of us would react to such a total relocation and having all our choices taken away from us? In a way Jason lets go far too easily, and his breakup may be the cause of that, but I found that I wanted to roll with the story. You sometimes just have to do that. And I rolled just fine!Short, easy and sexy, this is a read for all of you who are in a hurry (LOL!) and all of you who dream of abduction followed by seduction and everlasting love. *g* less

God this was a hot mess. I'd elaborate but I don't want too.
