review 1: This short book was very motivational. I like books and articles that challenge my perception of reality, and Johnny really knocked some of my beliefs (many that have been drilled into me since childhood) right over and forced me to look at the decisions I'm making when it comes to my path in life in a new light. I suggest anyone wanting to be shaken up and inspired read this absorbing opinion piece! The main message is one that everyone can benefit from: If you don't take charge of your own destiny, then society will mold you into what it believes you should be. Break out of the box!
review 2: A short and sweet read with some good points and reminders; this time with less of the dudebro language found in "The Universe…". We're on the same page here, Johnny.
... moreBe critical towards silly rules, stop worrying about breaking social conventions and dare to be politically incorrect (and that means "politically incorrect", not "lame excuse to be racist/sexist"). We spend too much time worrying about stuff that doesn't matter and wasting our lives on bullshit, so this is an important lesson that won't take but fifteen minutes of your time. It's worth it. less
