review 1: If there's one thing you can say about the PsyCop series is each book is not the same, there is no formula. At the beginning of this round Vic of course, sees all of his faults in their glory in his own mind, silly boy. But one of the high points of this installment is watching Vic grow a pair. I mean a pretty big hairy pair and that was refreshing. I always worry when characters are taken out of their environment. Sometimes it doesn't work. Overall Vic, Jacob and company did fairly well in California. I can't believe I'm going to say this but I kind of missed Crash and Zig.GhosTV had some humorous moments and some messy ones also. Since I am reading this series one after the other I can really see the character development and it's very interesting. Traditionally around t... morehe fifth or sixth installments most series they start to fall apart. So far this one is still strong. For Vic and Jake it looks like change is on the way, on word and upward boys.
review 2: I love this series. Each one gets better and this was just the best! It was scary and weird and sweet and I LOVED every second of it!the relationship between Jacob and Vic is just fantastic, and the Jacob we get to see in this one was so different. He wasn't always the tough confident one, and it was *sigh* awesome. Vic is always great. I love his self-deprecating humor. I love his attitude towards the crazy.I liked that we don't know who to trust really and we're kind of discovering things along with Vic as he is trying to work things out for himself.I wish this one had been a little hotter. I mean, the 5th one was like "Woah!"I still blush when I walk passed the butter in the grocery store. I mean...damn.Having said that, it made total sense. This story had a different feel to it and the crazy dirty sex would have possibly taken away from the overall tone. This was about Lisa, about Vic and Jacob, about the future and figuring out what comes next.Highly recommend.I kinda don't want to read the next one because there isn't another one after that ...what will I do with no more Vic and Jacob? less
