review 1: On a Dark Wing has an interesting premise that the author accomplishes by giving the Angel of Death human emotions. He not only has feelings and needs, but dreads the repercussions being human. Who or what is it he fears? Abbey, Tanner and Nate all fear him and yet through them the Angel of Death learns what he wants to know. The ravens theme is also an interesting dilemma. I found myself questioning the ravens arrival. It seemed very Poe-ish to me, and I liked the analogy. I would recommend this to teen readers looking for Paranormal/romance.
review 2: Well...I can't say I connected with this book or the characters. While the idea of this book is appealing to me, the actual story wasn't. I didn't relate to the main character, I wasn't feeling her loss for her
... moremother, and the love interest with Nate and Death didn't flow well for me. I don't want to sound as if this was horrible, but it wasn't for me in the long run. Check out other reviews though. Everyone has their opinions and preferences. less
