review 1: I love a good love triangle with a sprinkling of paranormal! This book sucked me in!Lacey starts another year of school not expecting much to happen. She just can't wait until her eighteenth birthday. One of her periods at school is working in the front office. She thought it was going to be a bring job until Alex walks in. Alex is a new student and for some strange reason she feels connected to him. She gets these flashes like they have kissed and she can't explain why she's drawn to him. He is totally hot and she can't for the life of her figure out why Alex is attracted to her. She's not Miss Popular or anything!Then another new student joins the school. Brandon is just as hot, if not hotter and she keeps having dreams of what looks like a future together with him. Why ... morein the world does she have two hot guys after her?Things get strange when things start happening that just have to be a dream. Why would she have such a horrible reaction to being near Alex? And where has Brandon been?The one things that is a constant for a while in her life is her new dog Grant. She found him in her backyard without any tags. He seems to be the one living creature that she can confide in, even though he's as big as a horse and her parents don't want him around.If you love paranormal reads with a love triangle and a little mystery and a threat of death mixed in, then this is the book for you! Jordan Deen sucked me into her world. I could not put this book down!
review 2: What a frustrating read with a frustrating MC! The beginning was actually good, and I quickly got sucked in. Then it started to become a bunch of unanswered questions with a lot of missing links and a very stupid Lacey. **Spoilers**Lacey:SEGMENT ONE- "PARENTS""I hate being home with my parents always fighting! Ugh! I can't wait to go to college and get the hell out of here!" "I love my kidnapping "parents". I don't care that they helped kill my actual family and robbed me of my true soulmate! And the fact that they are trying to kill him now, and replace him with Alex doesn't bother me at all."SEGMENT TWO- BRANDON"What a hansome boy! And when I touch him I have visions! Beautiful visions of us having such a happy life! And these feeling greatly exceed those that I have for Alex. But I think I'll choose Alex anyways. ""Brandon told me that he is my soulmate. And that I'm in danger. He also told me to stay away from Alex. I'm not going to though, even though he smells rancid, gives me nausea, and hurts me with his touch. (Oh, and I'm just going to pretend that it was all a dream, despite the bruising and have been sleeping for days as proof).""He told me that he is dying without me, and that if i have further contact with Alex, he will surely kick the bucket. But I'm still going to flounder in my selfishness and disbelief, despite what I've seen. By the time I finally deside to do something, the enemy will have me in their clutches. ""Now, despite all I know, I'm still not going to give Brandon the assurance of my love. Because I love Alex, despite his possessiveness and deception. In the end, it will take an all out war between the two packs, and a near death experience to realize the gravity of the situation. Only then will I choose Brandon. But do not be fooled, Alex is still on my mind."SEGMENT THREE- ALEX"I met a really awsome boy, Alex, who seems interested in me!""Gosh, after meeting Brandon, I'm really confused! But I can't seem to let him loose and figure things out.
