review 1: The President’s HenchmanAS GOVERNMENT THRILLERS GO, THERE IS NO BETTER! For all of you political buffs waiting/hoping for a woman President … this one’s for you!The first three chapters were a bit confusing for me as I kept thinking I was missing something – or this really wasn’t the first book in the series and I had missed the first one – and so I backtracked … a lot … but by chapter four it all started to come together. But be prepared! There are a plethora of characters … and some way out there where you think there’s no possible connection … but it’s worth the concentration on likeable personalities and twists and turns and military jargon and the Washington DC locale and its environs … all in the name of … freedom.Joseph Flynn’s writing ... morestyle is so appealing to me … his characters so human and believable … that it isn’t long before we’re friends … or enemies … as the case may be. The bad news … the book has to eventually come to an end; the good news, a sequel follows.
review 2: First Time i read this author Joseph Flynn with the help of Amazon free book I give it a try. I find some lengths in this book and honestly for my opinion I almost stop reading it because of them. I continue and find it good overall. I always have some reluctance when an author is incorporating religion in a fiction book not that i am against it but I think that it is not the place so that portion was a not like in this plot. I read some comments that a lot of peoples like it way more that me? I am not sure if I will give a chance to the second of the McGill series. I stay on my appetite in this one. Sorry just my opinion. less

Excellent by-the-edge of your seat read. Novel concept in terms of gender roles politically.
