review 1: I really enjoyed the first book of the series & was so excited to read this, the 2nd book of the series. Unfortunately, the author needs a good editor. There was SO MUCH going on. And yes, I can suspend belief for a while, but when it becomes absolutely ridiculous time & time again, I find it disheartening. Too much fantasy, too many characters, too many plots & subplots. Just too much, and not in a good way.

Sweetie (his partner) is investigating the shooting of a Secret Service Agent in DC. Both cases are satisfactorily solved, but with a number of witty and humorous distractions along the way.
