review 1: I really really enjoyed this story. Yea I guess the relationship moved quickly, but it worked because they still had arguments and had to compromise with each other. I didn't find Alisdair to controlling, yes obviously he's controlling, he's a dom, but he admitted when he went over bored with cosmo and cosmo consented to everything they did.The sex was hot and I loved the kink. This was also a seriously funny book.The bdsm relationship was fun how they tweaked it to work for them, to get a good idea of it I would loosely describe it a a very lax live-in sub that doesn't need to clean and be on his knees. Lots of hot subby moments though.
review 2: This was a fun read for me.The growth of the relationship between Cosmo and Alasdair was fairly bumpy but it was a ... moregood ride. It was refreshing to see Cosmo actually loving the spanking side of BDSM and Alasdair comes off as a fairly easy-going Dom. I like to see some variety in sub and Dom relationships where not all Doms are these stern, totally in control types. It's nice to see that Alasdair really cares about Cosmo's welfare and instead of focusing on just the sex aspect, he's thinking about Cosmo's health and lifestyle.The story just flowed smoothly. Yes, there were some challenges to overcome like any new relationship, but there were no melodramatic moments. I definitely liked that.Okay, one thing bothered me. The book description threw me way off. I kept expecting some grand blow up culminating in Cosmo running off and Alasdair having a lot of grovelling to do. That so does not happen. less
