review 1: I wanted to say I liked it and I wanted to say I hated it...I knew way early on who was the cause of the suicide - not because I am brilliant but because it was obvious...this knowledge made it impossible for me to like the guy I was suppose to....I ended up hating the way the one guy was treated and hated the girl for treating him that way...I really don't want to give too much away but hell that's impossible as well...I like the idea of the story...I liked the way the author was able to create the characters and the settings but I hated the fact that I never had to read the book to know what was going on
review 2: So I saw the query for this on a blog a LONG time ago, and I was so incredibly intrigued. The concept was fantastic, and the query was brilliant. W... morehen I saw that it sold, I was SO excited. Then I waited and waited for it to come out. Well, I finally got to read it. It started out great. I was so excited to read this book that I just knew was going to be brilliant based on the brilliant query. And in some ways it WAS brilliant. It was fast-paced and the writing style really appealed to me. In other ways, it was not do brilliant. Specifically, the main character Dinah was not so brilliant. The book is written from her point of view, so the reader finds out everything as she does. The problem with this is that I quickly suspected she was after the wrong guy and was pretty sure I knew who the right guy was. Well before the halfway point in the book, it was SO obvious. But Dinah was completely clueless. She didn't see the flashing signs right in front of her face that said "This is the guy you should really be after!" She apparently didn't listen when another character blatantly told her what this guy had done to her. And that was a problem for me. I really did enjoy the book overall, but it just wasn't as good as I wanted or expected it to be. less
