review 1: There really isn’t a whole lot I can say about Challenging Zed. It’s a novella written in Zed’s POV, and it reads like a summary of first third of Finding Sky. I read the first book in the series over a year ago, and it definitely helped jog my memory of what actually happened in the book! But… I didn’t really see anything terribly new or insightful about Zed. While it’s nice to get the chance to see inside his head, everything that’s revealed would be easily guessed at anyway. One thing I did like was the flash-back scene to when he was nine. It helped cement more of the family dynamic between the brother and their parents, and gives a glimpse at the other brother’s personalities. Overall, it’s a good novella, and a great read for fans of the se... moreries.
review 2: I gave this book 5 fabulous stars! After reading the 'Benedict boys' series I was thoroughly excited for this to come out and it didn't disappoint me!I loved the relationship that developed between Zed and Sky in 'Finding Sky' and the whole plot which went with it but the whole book was in Sky's point of view (which doesn't make the book any worse). I just like the story told from both sides.Even though this was only the beginning of 'Finding Sky' I really enjoyed it from Zed's point of view. I knew from the previous books that he had been finding it really hard beforehand without his soulfinder (Even though he is the youngest brother) and it was great to finally read about it. I felt like I was behind the scenes or something finding out information no one else knew which of course isn't true. Anyway, I really hope Joss Stirling would consider finishing this off because I would definitely read it. I also realy how she writes a book with Will, Victor or Uriel's stories in because I love them all! :D less
