review 1: I enjoyed this book, it was an easy read, but predictable in places perhaps. There are three cases running side by side through the book, and although it's a fairly short read they all get resolved. It's odd that Knighthorse comes along and solves a 100 year old mystery in a matter of days where historians have failed over a number of years. That said its a good read. Knighthorse is a larger than life character who's trying not to have a drinking problem and failing. He's also haunted by his mothers death when he was a child and a failed football career. It makes for an interesting mix, but surprisingly he's a likeable character. I'd probably read other books in this series.
review 2: This is a story about Jim Knighthorse a former football player and pre
... moresent day P.I. He is investigating four cases at once including his mothers murder some twenty years ago, which is the cause of his drinking. His girlfriend of eight years is being stalked, Cindy will not marry him until he stops drinking. A good storyline and the characters are well written. I would recommend the book to everyone who enjoys a good mystery. less
