review 1: Of the five shorts in this collection, the only one I didn't like was "Smith of Wooton Major." Some of the "Adventures of Tom Bombadil" were tough reads, but they were so short that it didn't bring down the book as a whole. These shorts only tangentially add to the universe of Middle-Earth, so don't expect anything that is directly conne ted to the events of "The Hobbit" or "The Lord of the Rings."
review 2: I am always drawn into J.R.R. Tolkien’s magical fairy-tales and his magical worlds with dragons, fairies, flaying dogs, nymphs and others fantastic beings of the “faërie”. In this collection “Tales from the Perilous Realm” I loved all the fairy-stories and specially the adventures of “Farmer Giles of ham” where the reader is in company with
... moredragons and speaking dogs. In “The adventures of Tom Bombadil” the narratives are written in lyric forms which give a special effect and make the adventures even more fascinating and enchanting. " Old Tom Bombadil heeded not the voices.taps, knocks, dancing feet, all the nightly noises;slept till the sun arose, then sang like a starling:`Hey! come derry-dol, merry-dol, my darling!`sitting on the door-step chopping sticks of willow, while fair Goldberry combed her tresses yellow".There are also other stories in this collection which are written on lyric form, and they are all much worth reading. As the last story I will write about here is "Smith of wootton Majoor" which is my second favorite tale in this collection. The tale is about a little boy who finds a lucky star in the feast cake, which gives him much fortune in life and allows him into the fairyland, until he is an old man and the star has to move on, and bring luck into another child's life. less

Es genial cómo de sucesos casi sin importancia se crean las mejores historias :)
