review 1: Ethan's Mate 2 starsEthan is a 500+ year old vampire that has waited his entire life to be called by his soul mate. Normally this will happen before the vampire is 150 years but it had not happened for Ethan nor his three brothers. He's to the point wear he doesn't believe it will ever happen when out of the blue he gets " the call." His plate is calling him and she's on danger as well as sick. Brianna is dying from she is lead to believe is a Rae form of Leukemia but it's really because she holds the soul of a vampire inside her and she if she doesn't mate with him a mating ceremony before she turns thirty, she will die.I'm gonna be honest here, what I told you above is the entire story pretty much. The rest of is just sex and bondage, there is no story line at all. ... moreYou have one fight scene that is over before it even begins, and a couple of funny comebacks from Ethan's brothers but not much else. Don't get me wrong, I love good sex and bondage book as much as the next girl but I do like mine with a little more of well, something, anything. Since I bought the four book series, I will give the next book a chance but if it's like this one, I'll move on to something else.
review 2: An afternoon quickie for sure. Admittedly I was hoping for more with the title Vampire Coalition. I was hoping for good versus evil battles and drama along with vampire smut. Not so much.That is okay. Sometimes just reading smut for the sake of smut is just what you need on a lazy afternoon. An escape from the everyday into a world that is totally not your own. If that is what you are looking for, then this is just the ticket. less
