review 1: This second installment to the Dragon Guard Series has exceeded all my expectations. A whole new twist to"made for each other" when Aiden and Grace meet face to face for the first time her special intuition "spidey sense" tells her that she is safe with Aiden and the pull is instant and undeniably mutual. The action is practically non stop and Andrew is moving forward with plans to take down his once beloved Dragon clan.If you read the first installment of "Her Dragon to Slay", which I highly recommend, your gona love this one!I went through the whole gambit of an emotional rollercoaster right along side my new found friends. I chuckled, laughed, teared up and almost wanted to roar out with the anguish felt by Aiden as he held the lifeless Grace in his arms. This was my "OH... more, HELL NO" moment and I was actually angry until the universe with all its wisdom stepped in.You have to read it for yourself but I will say that I was moved by this story and it looks like we are gona be meeting Samantha soon. It seems that the universe has picked her out especially for Lance. But alas, Andrew seems to be gearing up again. He is so broken, he gets more diabolical the longer he is free.I sure hope Julia is working on the next installment. I am so looking forward to the continuing saga of the Dragon Guard Series.
review 2: Once again, it's 'fan-girl' time. LOVED it! I want to dance around in circles in the street yelling "You have to read this story!" I've always liked dragons...a LOT, but Julia has taken the idea of dragon shifters and run with it. This story is even better than the first one and I didn't think that was possible but apparently it is. Because she did it!The heroine is really dumped into the deep end in this story. And not only does she swim, she rises to the occasion showing grace and intelligence under extreme pressure and danger. Julia writes heroines who are strong and intelligent and even though they have insecurities brought on by our society, they don't whine about it, they just get on with whatever needs to be taken care of.The heroes, ah the men in these stories. They are truly drool worthy. I seriously can...not...wait to read the story of each of these men! Our hero in this story has been through a harrowing time in his life that he is meeting with honor, perseverance and courage. He is a true match for the heroine and I love how they interact with each other. The dragons rock all kinds of a**! Julia has a lyrical way of describing these riveting, gorgeous creatures and I like how the men and dragons compliment each other. In short, I highly recommend these stories to anyone. I recommend reading the first story before this one, but it is a stand alone book and while the main story line will obviously be continuing into the next book, this one has a satisfactory ending I was very pleased with.I am waiting on pins and needles for the next book to come out. I'm so glad I found these books! less
