review 1: I think this is an amazing, highly recommended book. Thomas comes to work in a library thats seems harmless, but when a strange man wants to read a forbidden (or "unreadable") Thomas's whole world changes when these strange creatures attack his house. He is quickly escorted back to the library and soon is told about the magical creatures and that everything considered a myth is real. Soon he and his newly formed team go on to an adventure and Tom discovers some very surprising things. This first book will want you asking for the rest of the series. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!
review 2: Ever get the feeling that you've read a different book than everybody else? I got this book free from Amazon, and it's painfully obvious why it is free...I just don't understand h... moreow this book has so many 4 and 5 star ratings. This may be the most poorly written book I've ever read! (The previous record holder being Colleen Houck's, Tiger's Curse) The synopsis sounded interesting, yet the narrative fails in almost every aspect. less
