review 1: I expected to love this book, so I was really disappointed when I couldn't even get through it. I was just completely bored. Nothing kept happening and nothing seemed likely to happen and I didn't find the characters or their relationships compelling and it just didn't seem to be going anywhere. Maybe it has a bang-up finish, so I'm not rating it, but as of p. 142, pretty much nothing had happened.
review 2: This was probably the best 'prom' book I've ever read. Told from the perspectives of Luke and Azure, it has real voices. Voices I could see teenagers in their shoes using. An original prom with poetry slams and drag shows and karaoke. It's a prom I might have actually gone to myself and enjoyed. I was hooked to this book from the beginning. And I love... more how the school Luke and Azure go to is so open-minded. I wish that everyone could be like that. I can't review this book properly, but I can say that it was amazing and worth reading even if you aren't into prom -because I definitely wasn't-. less
