review 1: I enjoyed this book, but it drove me crazy at the same time. I feel like Alyssa gave her Mother a pass on all the horrible things that she did, simply because her Mother accepted her sexual orientation. Don't get me wrong, it's great that she had a parent who didn't care that she was gay. But that doesn't just sweep under the rug the fact that her Mom abandoned her until she was 8, had limited contact with her from 8-13 and then disappeared again from 13-17. Especially finding out in those past 4 years she had another daughter and a husband, both who died? Um...yeah, I'm glad your not a homophobe, but the rest of that IS NOT OK!!!I confess, that I was so upset by that, I had a hard time appreciating the rest of the book.
review 2: First of all, if you're lo
... moreoking for a book about LGBTQ then this might be a good book for you. However in my opinion, I think it was lacking something, it wasn't motivated enough and it kinda filled with self-pity (well, that what the book said). It might shows you the LGBTQ community have to face a hard life sometimes and it's great to be true to who you are *totally agree with that* but as a reader, I just don't feel enough push and power from the author :< Second, I really love the ending xD but the plot of the book was kinda flat and there wasn't really any enormous climax in the story :\ Don't get me wrong, it goes up and down, just not so much :\ I would say this book is 13+ and you would know why if you read it :) Third, this book is about people lost hope and trust as well their journeys to gain back all those things, when they started to understand one another and how they forgive and love again ♥ How sweet :") The relationship in this book is kinda tangle up at the beginning, but as the book goes on, you will figure out :") *or maybe just because I am slow-understand-er == * As I read it, it wasn't a funny book or emotional book *to me*. The mood was like this and then thisssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss until the end of the story .___. if you know what I mean :\ *my thoughts are all are all the places ==* It has short cut in most of the chapters, and the author apply second person point of view, which is the first time I saw any author used it and it was pretty cool ;) I hope you will like it, like I did :P less

Great book. Recommended for those that are LBGT or questioning. Or even straight people.
